Think part of that is sometimes he hesitates so the D can collapse on him.
Maybe it's a confidence thing or maybe over-thinking to read the D and decide his best move or even (gasp) look for an open man to pass to. All the decisions need to happen much quicker so D can't collapse. I'm sure he's working on it and it will improve. I'm somewhat encouraged that all the options are at least (or seem to be) being considered now that weren't in the past. Won't go well with a much better defensive team like St Mary's so here's to hoping he quickly goes with authority to the basket or learns to see the floor for quicker passes.
