As for the Pelicans, you have one of the best pieces in the NBA to build around and Demarcus Cousins is your move. The last thing the pelicans needed was Cousins. The only piece of sanity I see in this is that the Pelicans seem to have given up almost nothing for Cousins. Now if the Pelcians can parlay Cousins into a trade for a legitimate piece to the puzzle then maybe that was a smart move.
