Tiebreakers are broken by first how two tied teams fared against one another and second how they did against other league opponents in order of final standings. Since Santa Clara would've beaten second seed St Mary's once and BYU got swept by them then Santa Clara holds the tiebreaker. But if St. Mary's and Gonzaga both win as expected there would be no tie and BYU is the three seed.
