a horrible venue with zero atmosphere - minus what the cougar fans brought to the table. They didn't even have a video screen to replay highlights, etc..
The crowd was about 80% BYU fans - which was awesome. My favorite part was getting the B-Y-U-Cougars! chant going around the arena in the 2nd half. That woke up the 5-6 students in the student sections to raise their signs and chant back. I think their signs said something like "Your moms are hot" or "You can only have 1 wife", or something like that. We sat right behind the Portland bench for the 1st half and my favorite part was Portland's coach getting so mad he smacked the chair his assistant had just stood up from. It slammed on the ground behind him and the when the assistant went to sit down the coach had to grab his butt last minute so he didn't fall to the ground. The team looked good and Elijah Bryant was smooth, but it's always hard to tell when you're playing such a horrible team. BYU looked much more athletic and long - and that doesn't happen too often. Mika's dunks in the second half silenced the Portland fans around us. They all gave this look:

Overall it was a fun time. Portland is a horribly dirty city, but the food was delicious. I highly recommend Killer Burger and Salt & Straw.
