It's actually not terrible compared to all the fake, made-up, impossible to pronounce names. At least it's a real name.
Sure, it's a boys name and the poor girl will always deal with confused people, but the fact that you can easily pronounce it and spell it pushes it way above all the hokey non-names these days imo.
Besides, it's been a thing to commandeer traditional male names into female names for years. (My own name is a perfect example.)
Could be waaaay worse.
