Finally saw Arrival. I don't get the hype.

Such a disappointment. I spent 3/4 of the movie confused and bored. I still don't really get all the flash back/flash forward stuff that occupied half the film. Someone explain to me what I'm missing. I really wanted this film to be good.

Thought Prisoners was overrated. Literally hated Enemy. Sicario was very overrated. Arrival was as well.
