(Not sure how to characterize since topic is not limited to any particular sport)

Last night I had the most vivid dream I've had in awhile. Leonys Martin, Edwin Diaz and Hisashi Iwakuma appeared to me and fervently reassured me, in broken English, that the Mariners would make the playoffs this year. I awoke nearly laughing and crying. Laughing because really, the Mariners. Crying because I so desperately want it to be true, and also because of the realization of just how much the M's have psychologically tormented me.

Dreamt I was at the '12 bowl game, but instead of SDSU the UU ran out of the tunnel. The crowd went bonkers. We rolled, held a 10 point lead late in the 4th quarter and everything was amazing--redemption at hand. Then the yewts score 2 late touchdowns to win. I awoke stewing in anger and yelled into the darkness "No way they get 4 in a row!" loud enough to awaken my wife, who was thoroughly confused.

Circa 2004, dreamt that Luke Ridnour and Rashard Lewis showed up at my Southridge apartment. They said I was secretly being signed with the Sonics, and that they had some special plays designed with me in mind, that I was the key to everything. When I explained that I'd never played organized basketball before, had no real ball skills, and was a generous 5'7'', they looked at each other, smiled and said: "doesn't matter, we just need your defense," as if that explained everything.
