You forgot about "relationships, connections, and patience." Fan base size...
... Doesn't matter one bit.
Some of you guys think "if saint Mary's can do it, so can we."
It's not that easy. If it WAS that easy, many more teams would be doing it.
Problem is that the more likely result would be that you spend a few years getting everything set up overseas, then the kids you end up with suck because you don't really know how to do it and you don't have the right connections. Then you say, "well that was a waste of the last five years."

Seems like it'd be much easier, cheaper and more efficient to take the top 100 players we have and teach the to be smart
