He didn't really get beat out by Gabbert, though. He was coming off three
surgeries and couldn't lift weights. Didn't you see his body and how skinny he was?
Putting up 16 tds against 4 picks with that receiving corps and offensive line was far from mediocre (though I think he's an average QB with a high upside in the right system).
Tebow is not a good comparison, other than media attention. Kaepernick is far more talented, and proven.
