3 rows in front of Lavell's box, Nikon D2x 80-200mm F2.8 with tripod (yup just walked in with that gear, nobody at the gate cared). I was pretty impressed I got it reasonably in focus (still a tad soft compared to the superior photos in the first post) due to the distance and the flexing of the bleachers during the play. I believe I was in high speed shooting mode (2x crop on that camera) which gave me the equivalent of a 400mm lens field of view.
It was the only time I brought serious camera gear into the stadium. I found I was thinking too much about photography and less about the game.
I'm a bit better at post processing these days, I should find that old NEF file and see what I can do with it in today's RAW processors.
