Compare to a more complicated Pig Latin that they speak fluently. They all use it as adults to talk about things around the kids (or even other adults there) that they don't necessarily want them to understand (mostly things like Christmas presents or family scandal).

Its a rite of passage for the kids when they can start to understand it and later even speak it.
