In the 90s there was a one legged wrestler (the missing leg was a peg) who won state. The guy had a few advantages because of the missing leg.
-Upper body size and strength. Because he missing a leg that extra weight meant he could be bigger in his upper body. A lot bigger for his weight class.
-With a missing leg, his opponents lacked a key body part to leverage against him.
-He was able to rotate quickly this stump at an odd angle that nobody was accustomed to.
You'd think missing a leg would be a disadvantaged. But this kid made it work. It was pretty cool to watch.
