Gurney tweeted a few months ago that he was trying to make his way back
This said the fact that there's been no news in the last couple months isn't a good sign.
I have no inside information, but if he's still playing football it wouldn't shock me to see him show up at Snow or the U as he has a brother that currently plays there. For an "academic" institution they sure find a way to get kids in with grade issues.
