My son is turning 8 and we're looking for a new scooter for him, as he's worn his out. At the local skate park where he rides sometimes, a lot of the kids have stunt models that look like they are geared for trick riding, jumping, etc. - they have beefier handlebars and wheels, etc. We're not looking for the off-road variety -- its the stunt kind he wants, for doing tricks at skate parks etc.

Any recommendations for a good brand that will hold up to the impact of skateparks but that doesn't have a pro team rider pricetag?
