One thing I love about my RecTec is that the customer service is fantastic. I can call them anytime (weekday, weeknight, etc.) and there is someone on call who really knows the product. I had a wheel fail, and they sent me a replacement immediately. My fan fuse went out on a Sunday morning when I was getting ready to put on the meat, and the guy walked me through how to switch the leads to use the electric supply from the interior light to power the fan so I could do my cook that day (an admitted last resort trick to try when you don't hvae any options). The owner/founder of the company has given out his cell phone and people have called him with troubleshooting questions.
with a startup you just don't know whether the company is going to be around to service their product in the future.
