My son (17 months old) is in surgery right now to get tubes in his ears. Not a big deal, BUT they wanted us here at 6:15 this morning. By 6:30 we were done with paperwork, vitals, etc. At 6:50 the surgeon came in. 50 minutes later, they finally took him back for the procedure. We couldn't leave the tiny room we were in and my poor child hasn't had anything to eat since 6:00 last night.
How do you get so far behind on the first surgery of the day? And why is it okay for you to treat me rudely when I ask what's taking so long?
