The mountains are beautiful, access to skiing and great outdoor activities, overall interesting area... but I always feel that the culture is tainted by tension where you're either a member of one group or the other, and if it's the other group from the person standing in front of you, you and that person simply aren't expected to get along. I missed living in a place where it didn't matter what you believed in.
