On a dive play, if no one tackles you, you keep running until:
1. You are tackled
2. You lose the ball
3. You give the ball to someone else
4. You score
In soccer, if you have the ball and no one pressures you, you turn up the field and keep running until:
1. You are tackled
2. You lose the ball
3. You give the ball to someone else
4. You score
Crazy to think that football is really just a historical derivative of soccer.
BTW, I remember you from high school soccer. You were pretty good, almost even scored once:
