The reason I say it's better to go after coaches is...
The coaches are getting paid 6 and 7 figures. They are full time. Student athletes only get 20 hours of bball a week. They are full time students.
If a kid is bad at basketball and making the team worse it isn't the kids fault.... It's the coaches fault for not getting a better player on the court.
If your team is sucking it is 99% the fault of your head coach. If a certain player makes dumb mistakes repeatedly is it the players fault? No! It means you have a coach that recruited a player with poor bball IQ, is a bad player, or you have a coach that doesn't know how to teach.
It always comes back to coaching.
