which is that players who perform well get tons of praise and positive attention? The people critical of the people critical of players--meta-critics?--sometimes act as if signing up to play for BYU is signing up for constant criticism no matter what. It's not true.
Participating in any public activity entertainment/sports/politics is opening yourself up to criticism or praise or, typically, some of both. There's nothing wrong with that, people. It's life, and there's no changing it.
That said, I do agree with CB' s policy of no personal attacks. Some on this board, however, conflate criticisms of performance with personal attacks. They're not the same thing. Saying a player is a terrible person is over the line. Saying he's a terrible shooter is completely appropriate and acceptable in the context of a fan message board.
And honestly CB is very very very tame as far as internet message boards go. I am shocked anyone has a problem with the level of negativity here.
