My initial thoughts Bill Nye Save The World after only 1 episode.
The topic is climate change and it was very disappointing.

This episode felt more political than scientific. I get that climate change can be a politically charged topic but I feel like Nye had an opportunity here to "save the world" by explaining the science behind climate change. Instead he briefly touched on what a greenhouse gas is and spent the majority of the time on some "we gotta do something now or else everyone will die" rants.

His proposed solution to climate change is, of course, renewable energy. That's totally fine but instead of focusing on the science behind it or how it works he just kept emphasizing that we need to do it now.

When nuclear power was mentioned by a guest on his panel Nye just dismissed it outright by saying "Nobody wants it" and we never heard about it again. For a "science guy" the phrase "nobody wants it" should have no bearing on if it is a viable option or not. That's a phrase that is used by politicians not scientists.

It just feels like a wasted opportunity by Nye. This is his chance to share with the world his position on climate change without interruption using data and science. He could have been detailed, clear and straightforward with the science and let it stand for itself. That would've been a far better weapon against the "deniers" (his word) than his angry rants.

Maybe I was just hoping for a show more like his previous one so I'm being a little harsh. I will try the rest of the episodes but I'm not liking what I've seen so far.
