I'd hear fans calling him a boozer or that he was a jerk (doubt any of them ever met the guy). I knew one guy who was mad that Walsh helped BYU recruit his buddy Sarkisian and saw him just a hired hand till Shoemaker got off his mission and that Shoemaker will be the next great one. We all know how that worked out.
