but there will always be a space for manual driving as a hobby. Lots of people love to ride and race horses, but I don't know anyone who uses one as a primary mode of transportation anymore. And many places don't allow you to ride them on the roads anyway.

My guess is that, in a few decades, classic cars will be comparable to having horses.
