A great look at what makes a college OL successful (and why we haven't had any)
BYU really used to crank out pro offensive linemen. That stopped - and with it, a lot of the success that went with it. This is a cool article. Ive always thought that if BYU was going to return to greatness, they'd have to start with the OL. The two point spread line stuff is great for beating lesser opponents and horrible for producing pros and beating better teams.

"That’s why you often see college programs with pro style offenses — Iowa, Wisconsin, USC, Notre Dame, and Ohio State — produce excellent NFL offensive lineman. Linemen from these systems have taken so many reps out the three-point stance that they only need to adjust to the speed and strength of NFL defensive lineman."
