We've seen in the past that when corporate rates are cut, and nothing else, revenues actually increase. Obama was asked directly, in light of this evidence, why he was still against reducing the corporate tax rate. His answer consisted of two incredibly insightful points. 1. To be fair and 2. in the interest if fairness. Um... what?
We all know they have no intention of losing money simply through tax cuts, and I get the feeling that Trump is simply looking to shift the burden to make sure the government doesn't lose any revenue. However there are proven ways that both can happen without a shift.
At least with Trump, unlike Obama, I assume he won't automatically try to completely ream the working middle class in an attempt to up the handouts to his voter base in the spirit of "fairness".
