black. Granted they are bucking the trend of placing a higher than average amount of whites and polys than the average, but they also have a higher than average number of polys in the program. BYU has far more white players on the roster than Utah.
It's no secret that Utah surpassed BYU in the talent department with P-12 inclusion. I don't think it's even relevant to compare us with Utah anymore. The jury is out whether Kalani being Kalani can close that gap of Poly talent going to Utah. Or as has been mentioned, if BYU's honor code and academic requirements will be a factor.
Should we be sending a few more Poly's and White's to the league, especially lineman? Sure, but it seems harder to recruit against Utah since the P-12.
Lastly, by my count BYU has 14 players in the league. 4 are white, 4 are Poly, and 6 are black. We have more black players in the league than white or poly's. Does that not tell you something? A complete flip of roster demographics. I think it's the BIGGEST factor why we struggle to compete and put players into the modern day NFL. We need more.
