I think Ty Detmer still has meaningful contacts in Green Bay?

I would think his opinion carries a lot of weight in several NFL offices (where he has long term relationships and they know his talent). I wondered about his contacts and influence before the draft, but maybe it is all coincidence? People like to dismiss these things, but "inside" aka, references, influence other hires, why not the NFL? A reference from a personal contact would influence who I interview.

A disproportionate amount of BYU guys signed UDFA's with Philly and now KC (Andy Reid) - at least it looked that way to me. To the extent Ty has old contacts in NFL offices, I think it is very influential.

Bottom line is that guys have to perform, but hidden gems can be found through references.

I really hope some of our guys' success equals Danny Sorense[o]n's, drafted or undrafted. Great to see so many sign contracts.
