My son is 11, so he just started into the boy scout program.

With the recent announcement, is it worth trying to pursue his Eagle? He'll only have about 3 years to get it. I assume there will be much fewer Eagles than in the last few decades going forward.

Thoughts? I don't put a lot of stock into the Eagle award anyway, but it's not bad to have. I'm torn on whether it's worth his time or not, and whether he'll have the support needed to get through it from the leaders.
