and honestly there are CBers who own machines this is just what TNT has heard from them and people who collect. You can always buy used so they either need to be well taken care of (and that's usually reflected in the price but not always). Obviously most folks who play them take care of them. TNT's favorite era was the '90s tables. The vast majority are so well designed. But those tables are 20-27 years old. So usually some type of deep cleaning happens with collectors over a long period of time.
Other pinball companies are springing up but Stern Pinball has been the biggest manufacturer the last 15 years. They put out about 3 different designs a year. Supposedly they are pretty well manufactured. You will have to have someone come in occasionally and do maintenance. The more you play the more often you will need to have it checked.
