Utah last year for instance beat highly ranked USC, but lost to no bowl teams Cal and Oregon.
BYU beat boise State and Nebraska in 2015, but dropped a game to Missouri.
we could beat LSU and still lose to Utah -- nothing is certain. I agree however that it is not an either or.
