My Father's Day was an interesting one. My wife discovered our two year old has
pinworms, so from around 10:30 until now she's been frantically washing every article of clothing, every sheet, blanket, stuff animal, etc. that could be contaminated in any way. All the while I was on the schedule to teach elder's quorum. I spent the better part of the morning preparing the lesson and stayed home from the first two hours to help her put the kids down for naps and do laundry/clean everything in sight. Then I show up to church for 3rd hour to find out that whoever scheduled me to teach wasn't aware there was a combined meeting, so I spent 3 hours preparing a lesson for nothing.

On the plus side, while I was waiting in the foyer for opening exercises to begin in the chapel (which never did) a sister in the ward was going around with a basket of candy for all the dads. So hey, I got some peanut M&Ms at least!
