It may be more often if there's a special occasion or we just work our semi-annual vacation around it.

Since we live with an hour of our parents now, we try to keep it to no more than twice a month, but it's usually once a month. A lot of that frequency is because we have kids. Once our kids are out of the house, I doubt it will be that often.
