With that said, of course you take the B12 offer - gives you guaranteed $$$$$ and a seat at the table.
Although, I do think BYU is set to see a raise in 2020 and beyond. Here's BYU's inventory to discuss with ESPN:
2020 - Michigan St., Missouri, Utah St., SDSU
2021 - Utah, Arizona St., Boise St., Virginia, Arizona (first CFB game in new Vegas stadium?!!)
2022 - Baylor, USF (and Utah St.?)
2023 - Tennessee, Stanford, Boise St. (and Utah?)
2024 - (Utah St.?)
2025 - Stanford, Minnesota, Virginia (and Utah and Boise St.?)
That's some quality inventory as the foundation for the 2020 to 2025 home schedules that should fetch a nice raise. When BYU signed with ESPN in 2010, they knew about 2 games with Notre Dame (in Provo...), 1 with Texas, 1 with Oregon St. - and the hope of 3 games with the Ewetes...then a bunch of wiggity-WAC home schedules....over a 6-year span.
