I agree with a lot of his premise. Our teams need to have a larger player pool to choose from as right now we seem to be limited to upper class suburbanites that can afford thousands of dollars worth of club fees each year.

So many of the best in the world (not just soccer) had to overcome tremendous challenges to develop grit and swagger in the face of any opposition. When I look at the top youth clubs in our area, I see this lacking in a major way.
