Do you really think that BYU's receivers will be "Great" this year?
If the expectation is that these guys will be totally useless, then I agree that these guys will be drastically better than that.

But you sound as if you think they will be one of the strongest position groups on the team and one of the best receiving groups in recent years.

Trinnaman was the #4 receiver from a below average receiving group. I think he will be good, but if he was going to be great this year, I think we would have seen more from him in 2016.

Shumway was not injured last year. He had foot surgery in 2015, but was 100% for spring practice 2016 and was healthy for the season. He simply wasn't good enough at the time to get meaningful snaps. I think he could be the type of receiver Mangum needs (the kind that attacks and comes up with any ball in his vicinity), but I don't know if he is there yet. he wasn't last year, and we didn't see anything special from him in the spring game. I think he will be solid, but we haven't seen anything from him on the field to confirm that yet.

I know Simon and Davis redshirted last year. They are the guys that I am most excited to see take the field. That being said, they have zero game experience. I like the potential, but a bird in the hand is worth a dozen in a bush. If these guys were going to be immediate standouts, they would not have been redshirted. I think these 2 could be very good, but once again, we have yet to see it.
