The most impressive and reassuring thing to me about this coaching staff's recruiting (and perhaps this is an "Ed Lamb effect" to some extent), is not just that we are getting big-name guys to commit. But it seems so consistent that we offer no-name guys who I haven't heard of, or who aren't necessarily rated, very early and then they subsequently blow up. I remember when this new staff started, I was surprised with how many offers they extended, and it seemed like they were throwing out all offers to no-name guys I hadn't heard of who were committing. It made me nervous but the staff has been validated again and again. It gives me some confidence in thinking that this staff is really good at identifying talent and fit for our system.
