George A Romero, the father of Zombie movies, passes away today at the age of 77

Without him it pretty likely that we don't have shows like the Walking Dead (even though it is getting steadily worse) or movies like 28 days later. I have seen his original Night of the Living Dead and I will admit I wasn't the biggest fan but his works have inspired some movies and shows I have really enjoyed.
