My brother in law was in a Kayak with my nephews along the Hanalei river in Kauai. A swarm of wasps attacked them and Jake thought it would be wise to dump everyone into the water. When he got the kids secured to the Kayak they paddled away from the wasp location he then flipped the kayak and got the kids back in the Kayak. Soon after that he began to go into anaphylactic shock and passed out. Two women that saw what was going on jumped into the river and held his head out of the water until the ambulance arrived as he was completely unconscious and foaming at the mouth, they weren't able to pull him ashore b/c he's a big dude and these wonderful angelic women treaded water for 30 minutes keeping his head above water while holding on to the Kayak..He stopped breathing multiple times while in the river and the women would shake him to keep him breathing. Ambulance came and they put him on oxygen stuck him with an epi pen and he was still unconscious. They got him to the hospital and got him stabilized and medicated. The missionaries came by and gave him a blessing and then Layne Abbott a friend of mine on vacation came in to see him and Jake was able speak to him some. Big Jake is gonna make it but this was a super close call and I know that angels were with him and my family during this process b/c of your prayers! This is why I love cougar nation, the power of prayer is real! The kids got stung many times and got treatment but they didn't have the allergic reaction that Jake had. Once again thanks to everyone for your help in this!
