He bought a Groupon (buy one get one free) and couldn't find anyone else to go with him. We started at like noon and it was 90+ degrees outside that day. Surprisingly, I had a really good time. I wasn't totally sure what to wear, but an old pair of running shorts + under armor top worked great. My shoes were totally trashed by the end, so wear shoes you don't mind throwing away when you're done. I thought everyone running the thing was going to be insanely fit, but there were a lot of average Joes. There are people who walk and talk through the entire event. I ended up tearing skin on the skin of both of my hands on some of the rope/climbing obstacles, so if I did another one I might consider wearing some kind of glove too.
