might be. Only you know, but the song and dance around Utah with small companies goes like this.
1. Hire person, salary is about 60% of going rate.
2. Tell them as soon as company takes off and becomes profitable they'll get huge raise to make up for the low salary they are taking.
3. Since it's a small company it's all hands on deck so employee that's very underpaid is working 60 hour weeks with poor
benefits
4. Employee gets burned out and profitably is years down the road at best so low salary and poor benefits is here to stay
5. Employee seee layoffs of other employees and starts looking elsewhere
6. Employee gets job that pays well with good benefits and leaves
7. Employer throws a fit
Very common with small business in Utah and I assume other places as well.
But I agree there are a lot of lazy dummies. Just like with every other generation throughout all of time.
