I work 16 shifts per 28 day period. If I work enough of them in a row I can have blocks of time off to vacation as much
as I want. 7 days off last month for lake Powell and 10 this month for Hawaii meant I was at work 26 days in a row between those vacations (except for a single day off at about day 18). If it is looks like the math doesn't add up it is because I work a lot of nights that span a 2 day period.
