The team is much larger, and more professionally run. They just need me to be at the meet to do a job.
Practice is only 3 times a week. That's actually fewer than our summer league (3 evening practices, but morning practice every weekday)
Meets are about monthly, rather than every Saturday. We stay for one session (typically 4 hours), then we're out, unless I'm judging. (Stroke and Turn, and I'm working on Hy-Tek operator this year).
Best of all, in her summer league team, she's a top-tier swimmer. In year-round, she's middle of the pack. Occasionally, she'll have an excellent swim, but she's actually got competition pushing her in practices, rather than having to rely on her coaches to get her ready for meets.
