As does a lot of this board. There's no "pulling away" from anyone at any position in spring ball. A lot of people read WAY too much into what they see during that period. Probably because everyone is desperate for football news and take everything they see seriously. Depth charts, position battles, etc. There's basically no such thing in spring ball.
Not going to bother to try to convince someone on Squally again. Not to mention you're not considering any other factors. Football is a team sport. What one group does impacts another.
MLP wasn't a TE last year and that still counts. He's not a returning TE and technically, who knows how that will go. Plus, it sounds like you're basing everything on yards from last year. That's a really inefficient way to go about it. There's more to it than adding up numbers on paper and projecting for the next year. SO many things change that affect it. For example, I really don't care how many yards Trinnaman, or Hifo in his freshman year, had with Hill at QB in everyone's first year in this offense. Nobody should.
Above, you made an assumption about the TE group for this year to justify putting them in a spot. But you're doing the opposite for other groups.
What we really have is a number of question marks but high potential all over the place. TE hasn't done a single thing yet (it's July) to really be put above any other group like that.
So I think your list, considering the current state of the team, should look more like 2 groups. The have's and the have not's, if you will (so far).
