At the end of a segment with DJ re: PAC 12 football, McBride gave some unsolicited comments regarding BYU. He started by saying that BYU will surprise teams this year and that he likes the team. He said that BYU is big and strong and that he liked the DL. He then said that Tejan is a good leader, that Mangum is a good quarterback and he expects Tolutau to emerge as the #1 running back. He said he reminds him of Ma'afala. Said that Squally was just average. He mentioned that LSU is stacked and could end up as national champs but that after that game BYU should compete well with the remaining teams on the schedule.

His comments were vintage McBride, disjointed and somewhat rambling. However, over the years I've concluded that he knows his stuff and that once you learn to decipher his style, he has some good insights that end up being accurate.

All in all, some great content that has me looking forward to another football season.
