It's not negativity. It's just about confidence as a passer in this system, plus combined with the other talent he'll be up against in the future. When he got here he already had a really long way to go as a QB. He probably has more Taysom in him than Taysom. Just no patience and is always going to want to run the ball. This isn't the system for him. He wasn't recruited for it and he probably would have really succeeded if he changed positions. He would have made a killer safety. He's a great athlete who is camping out at the QB position. He hardly even played QB in HS. You can tell Detmer isn't awfully confident. It's just more about who ELSE is an option for QB in the future.
