for Romney's sudden slide. As I recall Gunner was moved from 3* on 247 recruiting service to 4* before the Opening. Then following the Opening Scout and I believe Rivals also raised his stock from 3* to 4*. Everyone was touting the MVP of the day. There are still articles out there supporting this. Then Gunner makes his commitment to BYU and all Cougardom is giddy with joy as they anticipate McKee also being 4* and signing with BYU. Gunner's QB in Arizona is suddenly elevated to one with a glorious offer to the powerful SEC Alabama. Was Gunner really only the product of an SEC recruit or did his summer success (with other QB's) really show he is the hot item the articles say he was? Scout and 247 are united under the CBS banner in a move that has been coming so is no shock but then Gunner's stars are whacked and Talan Alfred who did nothing exceptional (at national camps) recently gets elevated from 2* to three by 247 but is left unrated by scout and still a 2* by Rivals. Does getting recruited by BYU make Talan a 3* but committing to BYU make a 4* only a 3*? Coincidence or my recall is slipping. Any one with relevant information to add?
