The problem with Kalani's differing quotes is that 9 times out of 10 when a kid is returning from his mission BYU is going to be the beneficiary.
When the kid is already in school 9 times out of 10 he is going to be leaving BYU.
It's unfortunate for Kalani that his original quote was broadcast to widely. His stance was seen as the moral high ground and was looked at as the position college coaches should be taking when their players want to transfer. You all remember it. It's all we heard when Utah State took the opposite stance.
Now - if he blocks Francis he is going to look like a hypocrite (even though that was not his original intent). It is a tough spot to be in.
