The interesting thing to me is all the offensive coaches, save Clark, were
exceptional football players at the D1 (and in some cases professional) level.
Ty: Heisman, 14 years in the NFL.
Cahoon: All Conference WR, CFL hall of famer
Mahe: All Conference RB, NFL starter
Empey: Solid D1 OL
On the other hand only Kaufusi and Gilford had much success as D1 players and only Kaufusi had any NFL career to speak of.
Just goes to show it's not what you know as a coach; it's how much you can teach to your players.
Hopefully once they get over this learning curve the offensive coaches will really take off as a group.
