I saw this same apathy
while attending the game on Saturday. It was really strange, the behavior of the BYU fans. They didn't want to invest too much into cheering for the team for whatever reason. The belief, the expectation of a win over Utah, just wasn't there. The team has lost so many times to Utah and let the fans down so many times, it's a defensive mechanism to not invest too much emotional energy into BYU football. I will always be a Y fan, but it hurts right now. The team has a long term trend of mediocrity.
