Pretty much every P5 caliber team, and many G5s, have played FCS schools.
They also haven't faced LSU and Utah's defenses.
Our offense is bad, no doubt about it. But these things tend to normalize over the course of the season. I would expect us to finish somewhere in the 70-80 range in most offensive metrics that matter. Bad, yes but not historically so.
If Ty can get Tanner into stuff he feels comfortable running (and if Tanner isn't hurt) we can probably do better than that.
